ORVIETO

Orvieto, a city of art, has an artistic and cultural heritage among the richest in Umbria. The Duomo is among the highest italian artistic achievements of the late Middle Ages; its imposing Gothic facade, with mosaics and bas-reliefs, dominates the entire hamlet; inside, one of the masterpieces of Italian painting, a cycle of frescoes about the Universal Judgment painted by Luca Signorelli. Of great importance is the visit to the well of St. Patrick, a masterpiece of engineering to supply water to the city, reaching a depth of 62 meters.
